Primary Action Feature

The “Primary Action” feature provides a shortcut on the Main Menu, allowing users to directly access the menu node they use most frequently.

Feature Considerations

  • The SuiteTV Portal uses the Argon theme.

  • The Main Menu contains one row of Argon menu tiles.

  • A designated menu node must be identified for the Primary Action.

Feature Setup

  • Identify the designated menu node for the Primary Action and obtain its menu node ID

  • In Client Config, set

    • Set “showPrimaryAction” to “yes”.

    • Enter the designated menu node ID in “primaryActionMenuId”

Note: Client Config settings are managed via the “Site Config | Client” console

Feature Behavior

Navigateion

  • UP, DOWN -> toggle the focus between the Primary Action and the row of menu nodes.

When Primary Action is in Focus

  • ENTER -> Jump to the designated menu node.

When on the designated menu node

  • If the node is a detail information menu node

    • BACK -> Return to the node’s parent.

    • BACK -> Return to the Main Menu.

  • Otherwise

    • BACK -> Return to the Main Menu.
